This is our finished product (created from the pink pile of paper here). The girls painted cardstock different shades of pink and red (even the 2-year-old could help with this part). I cut each sheet into 6 cards. And, because I'm bad at math, each card is a different size. More charming that way, right? I cut hearts from newspaper (making sure that the text was upside down so as not to distract). The girls glued the hearts to the cards. They wrote the tos and froms on the back. Simple and pretty, I think. I contemplated cutting more hearts from the extra cardstock and adding one more heart layer on top of the newsprint. However, the attention span of the children caused me to nix that idea. They're happy with the final result and I love the simplicity.
