Festive Felt Wreath Ornaments (and cookies!)
We made these for teachers' gifts this year. The project was fun and much easier than I thought it would be. My 9-year-old finished two wreaths in no time and my 4-year-old was able to thread the wool scraps onto wire all by herself (I put the pieces out for her in order of our agreed-upon pattern). The tutorial can be found here: Value Village Festive Felt Wreath (found via Wise Craft). I decided we would make ours ornament size so the girls could make them without getting bored with a long project. I cut the wool into 1 inch diamond-ish shapes and let them thread until they felt like they were done (and the wire could be bent into a small wreath shape with a hole in the middle). Then added a ribbon for hanging and we were done!
Of course, there's been a marathon of cookie-baking happening as well. Made much easier this year by following the recipes and advice here: Blonde Designs: Frosting Sugar Cookies
