Organic Sewing: Show and Tell with SK Naturals

Meet Susan of SK Naturals. Today she is going to tell us a little about what she sews with organic cotton fabrics:

Modern Organic Fabrics: What do you make with organic cotton fabric?
Susan: My primary focus has been clothing, toys and bedding for babies & young children.  Partially because I had small children when I started this business, but also this age group is probably the most susceptible to any harm that can be done with all of the chemicals in conventional cotton.  I've also started branching out into household items, such as throw pillows and placemats.

Modern Organic Fabrics: Which fabrics do you use?

Susan: I use Harmony Art, but also recently discovered and fell in love with Circa 50 Monaluna and My Happy Garden.  I have found some nice organic terry cloth and flannel too.

Modern Organic Fabrics: Why do you like to use organic cotton fabric?

Susan: It's the safest fabric there is!  There are so many great quality and fun organic prints out now.
Modern Organic Fabrics: Tell us about your products.
Susan: I sell organic bodysuits, shoes and mittens for babies and toddlers.  I also sell crib sheets, blankets, and toddler pillows and pillowcases - all from organic cotton.
You can find Susan at her etsy shop: SK Naturals
