Working on ... a summer top

Working on a summer top for me! Wish me luck, as I'm not using a pattern and doing a sort of mash-up of tutorials and stuff I'm making up myself. More details when I finish. Fabric is Whispering Grass in black and white organic cotton sateen and Solid White sateen, both from Harmony Art.

Birthday Party in Blues & Reds

Today we celebrated my daughter's 5th birthday. It was a simple party with a simple palette of reds and blues (with some pinks). It was an enjoyable day with family.

Daisy Fields

My grandmother gave me three or four daisy plants from her garden a few years ago. Now I have what looks like a field of daisies (I exaggerate, though, as I have a tiny yard).  I adore them with their staying power and their ability to fill where necessary. So pretty in an unpretentious way.
