I finished the shirt for my 9-year-old last night during my hour of sewing for Kids Clothes Week on Elsie Marley. I hope to get some better pictures if the sun ever comes back ;) The pattern is Simplicity 4206, which my daughter thought was really funny because it's a pattern for "Dummies". It went together really easy, but was way too short, so I added the contrasting band of fabric at the bottom and I think it's a big design improvement to this simple pattern. By the way, this pattern for dummies still doesn't hold a candle to Patty Young's patterns for instructions for beginners. Just sayin'. The fabric is Pod and Earth from the Beyond The Sea collection by Cloud9 Fabrics.
A pretty combination of fabrics sent off to a customer yesterday. She combined fabrics from Cloud9's Beyond The Sea collection with the Picnic Set of Westfalenstoffe and Harmony Art fabrics.
